Cellars

Types of cellars

A ready-made cellar is a solution buried in the ground for storing food and garden produce all year round — with no electricity, because the stable coolness is provided by the earth itself. We offer cellars in three base materials: polyethylene (plastic), high-strength HDPE and composite. Below you can compare the materials and browse all ready-made models with prices.

Frequently asked questions about cellars

How much does a ready-made cellar cost?

Ready-made cellars range from €2,348 (Cellar 120×120) to €14,457 (the largest 200×480 and 200×500 models). The price depends on size, material and entrance type. Installation costs are calculated after a site survey.

Which entrance is more convenient — vertical or sloped?

The vertical entrance (a 70×100 cm hatch with steps) takes up less garden space. The sloped entrance (90×130 cm) is easier for daily walking in and carrying produce — it is available on the 200×175, 250, 200×350 and 200×500 models.

Can a cellar be installed where the groundwater is high?

In most cases, yes. The hermetic body does not let water through, and where groundwater is high, correct ballasting or anchoring keeps the body in place. We assess suitability during a site survey.

How long does a ready-made cellar last?

The polyethylene or composite body does not rust or absorb moisture, so it lasts for decades without separate waterproofing or regular maintenance.
