Frequently asked questions

Is it possible to see and buy cellar models?

The most popular cellar models are in stock. Please contact us before your visit to arrange an appointment and to check availability in the warehouse.

How much does installation cost?

Delivery and installation costs start from EUR 800 (for the small 120×120 / 120×160 / 150×150 models). To determine exact costs we need to know: the chosen model, the site location and, preferably, the geology and groundwater level. With the right knowledge and our guidance, you can install the cellar yourself.

Is a concrete slab needed under these cellars?

Cellars with horizontal entrances require a concrete slab. For cellars with sloping entrances, a slab is only required if the groundwater can rise above the cellar floor level. If there is no groundwater at that depth, the cellar is anchored with foundation blocks to prevent surface water from lifting it.

Will the cellar be forced above ground if the groundwater level is high?

No, a correctly installed cellar will never be displaced. Where groundwater is high, the cellar must be anchored to a concrete slab or foundation blocks that keep it in the ground.

Will the cellar deform?

The metal frame ensures the strength of the cellar and lets it withstand ground and high groundwater pressure.

Will the cellar walls be damp?

The cellar has intake and exhaust ventilation, so a proper microclimate is maintained inside. Condensation may appear periodically in the exhaust due to temperature differences, but because the walls are polyethylene the droplets do not absorb and do not cause mould.

Does the cellar need to be insulated?

To reduce temperature fluctuations, we recommend insulating the top, sides and entrance of the cellar with extruded foam (50 mm).

What kind of cellar can be installed on my plot?

For a small plot, choose a cellar with a horizontal entrance — these fit beneath terraces, gazebos or carports. For larger plots and high groundwater levels we recommend a sloped-entrance cellar. Contact us for advice.

Is the cellar fully equipped and ready to install?

Yes. The cellar comes fully equipped — with a built-in metal frame and shelving, intake and exhaust ventilation, LED lighting and a thermometer with hydrometer for humidity measurement.

How is the excavation carried out?

Excavation is done with a tractor and excavator. Please consider whether such equipment can enter your property.

Do you lower the groundwater level?

Yes, we lower the groundwater level on site for our clients during cellar construction.
