Shelters & bunkers

Shelters and bunkers

Underground and above-ground shelters protect families and businesses against explosions, gases and splinters. We offer steel modular bunkers, underground modular solutions, mobile above-ground shelters and Safe Rooms — all with complete equipment and installation across Latvia.

How to choose a shelter

Choosing a shelter comes down to three questions: how many people it is for, where it can be placed, and how quickly it is needed. An underground bunker offers the highest protection level but requires excavation. Above-ground and mobile shelters are installed with no construction works — including where digging is impossible. A Safe Room is assembled inside an existing building.

For every solution, the blast-resistance class, gas-tightness and NBC ventilation matter — we fit bunkers with steel doors, ballistic hatches and filtration systems matched to the headcount. Requirements for public shelters are set by VUGD and national regulations; for a private site we will help you choose the right solution in a consultation.

Frequently asked questions about shelters

Underground or above-ground shelter — which should you choose?

An underground bunker offers the highest protection level because it is covered by a layer of ground, but installation requires excavation. Above-ground and mobile shelters are placed without construction works — suitable where groundwater is high or digging is not possible.

How many people are our shelters designed for?

The base underground bunker is designed for 2–4 people. Bunkers 330 and 350 have 2–4 berths and 3–6 seats, while the larger 480 and 500 models have 2–4 berths and 3–8 seats. Safe Room configurations cover 3–10 people. We confirm capacity together with the planned equipment.

What does full shelter equipment include?

A blast-resistant door or hatch, an NBC ventilation and filtration system with manual backup, sleeping places, a dry toilet, water storage and an emergency kit. We supply all of it from a single source, matched to the room size.
