Humidity and ventilation
The greater the pressure difference, the better the ventilation
Wherever the cellar is, it needs ventilation. Not only do you need an outlet for the warm and humid air, you also need a dry air inlet.
The incoming air in the cellar will warm up and become more humid. A pressure differential will develop and the moist air will escape through the vent.
Air inlets and outlets should be as far apart as possible, preferably in opposite corners of the room.
The outlet should be as close to the ceiling as possible and the inlet as close to the floor as possible. The pressure difference will therefore be greater.
There must always be a function to regulate the air flow. As weather conditions change, air flow may need to be increased or decreased.
Also, do not forget to equip the inlet and outlet of the ventilation system with roofs to prevent rodents from entering the cellar.
Rotating deflector
The principle is very simple: the higher the wind, the faster it spins and creates an excellent draught effect.
To improve draught if it is too weak, deflectors are used which harness wind energy to create the required pressure in the ventilation duct. The resulting pressure difference (between the duct pressure and the atmospheric pressure) pushes air out of the duct through the deflector.
Air draught is caused by different air densities inside and outside the cellar.

Insulation of outlet ventilation with polyethylene foam and foil.
Thermal insulation made of polyethylene foam and foil is one of the most effective methods. It not only provides excellent thermal protection, but also protects against condensation.
